Harassment Law 42

Since then, on March 21, 2024, Bill 42, entitled An Act to prevent and combat psychological harassment and sexual violence in the workplace, has been adopted. The definition of the law has been broadened and brings with it multiple changes for employers.

OHS prevention program

Since April 6, 2022, all establishments that do not already have prevention and participation mechanisms in their workplace must implement the interim regime of prevention and participation mechanisms .

This interim regime applies to establishments, including construction companies. However, it excludes construction sites. From 1 January 2023, construction sites will have to comply with the new legislative and regulatory provisions on prevention and participation mechanisms specific to a construction site .
